Jan. 31, 2010 (3rd Birthday Party)

January 31, 2010

Whew! Bella's birthday bashes are finally and completely done! And Momma is exhausted! We had Bella's 3rd party for her birthday yesterday. It was low key, and so nice! Bella didn't get a nap beforehand, so she was a little fussy through it, but overall she was really good. She got tons of gifts, (thanks to everyone who came!) and got to blow out the candle on her 3rd birthday cake. Here are some of the pictures from the party!

Jan. 27, 2010 (Birthday Wrap Up)

January 27, 2010

Yesterday was such a fun day! We woke Bella up by singing Happy Birthday to her, which she just loved. (Yeah right!) She was cranky from being woken up, but when she realized it was her birthday she cheered up right away!
When I took her to school, she was expecting me to stay, and got upset when I had to leave. Broke my heart! I got back there just before they all woke up from nap, and brought cupcakes & goodie bags. I brought enough for both classrooms since they are together, and everyone was excited. They sang happy birthday to her, and everyone ate quickly! Bella of course picked the cupcake with the blue icing, and her face was covered in it! I took pictures because she looked so adorable! (Which I will post tonight!) Afterwards, she was ready to leave, so we decided to go visit Daddy at his work. We got to meet everyone he works with now, and she was happy to see Daddy! Bella then quickly got bored, so we headed home. Once home, we played ball in the backyard, watched her favorite shows on tv, and then I bbq’d steak out back while she kept playing. Daddy came home and we all had dinner together. Grandma & Aunt Sandra both called to wish her a happy birthday, and then she went to take a bath. Since Eric hadn’t seen her much & we spent all afternoon together, she naturally wanted to spend all her time with Daddy, so I relaxed a little while they played.
All in all, a great birthday for her! This weekend is her final birthday party. (Thank goodness!) It is going to be at our house and will be just close family & friends here in Austin area. Nothing too big, but still lots of fun and she gets to see everyone again, have even more cake, and open even more presents!
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Update: Here are the pictures from her mini party at her daycare. I didn't take too many, and my camera isn't working really well for some reason, but here you go!

Jan. 26, 2010 (Bella's 3rd Birthday!!)

January 26, 2010

3 years ago today mine & Eric's lives changed forever. Isabella Joanie Munoz was born Jan. 26, 2007 @ 6:08 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 18.5" long. She brought something to us that can only be described as pure love. She has been the light of our lives ever since she first opened her eyes. For the past 3 years, Bella has shown us what is feels like to have your heart living outside your body. She has shown us what pure happiness is... from when she smiled the first time, when she coo'd first, crawling to walking to running, Mama & Dada to Mommy & Daddy, etc. she has filled our lives with more joy and happiness that we ever imagined!

Bella, you might be turning 3 today, but you will always be my baby girl. I love you more than life itself, and can't imagine a day without you. I hope you have the happiest birthday and that all the birthdays that follow are happier than the one before. Daddy & I love you with our whole hearts and are so proud to be your parents!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Love, Mommy & Daddy

January 24, 2010

Warning: Tons & Tons of pictures ahead!!

This weekend was so much fun! Bella's birthday party went off without a hitch, her & her friends had a blast, and she got tons of great gifts! First off, we want to say thank you to everyone for coming out on a rainy day and helping to make Bella's 3rd birthday so special!
Pump It Up was great and they did everything for me, so I got to play with Bella & socialize with everyone that came! It was truly a great party! Now I get to start writing the thank you's this week! Here are some of the 11o pictures I took over the past few days! Enjoy!

January 21, 2010

Today is my last day of work for this week. Tonight we are driving to DFW to my Dad's house. Tomorrow, Eric will put together Bella's princess bike, and I will be shopping for snacks, juice boxes, and cokes for Bella's birthday party. She somehow already thinks she is getting the bike for her birthday, and we're trying to convince her otherwise! She told her Grandma last night that was the only thing she really wanted, and Mommy & Daddy already got it for her?! How did she know that?! Eric & I talked about it, and neither of us mentioned it in front of her. She's too smart!! Her teacher said she has been wonderful the last few days, and I am so proud of her! She's my Angel!

Back to her party... I have everything packed into the car ready to go. Eric's leaving work a little early, and we're meeting at home to grab him and go! I am so excited for her party! There are actually more people coming than was expected which is great! We have 5 kids coming, which is perfect, because they all have plenty of room to run and play without running all over each other. Plus the parents can all chat and not feel squished. I've already packed the digital camera & our camcorder as well, so we are pretty set!! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and pictures will hopefully be posted Monday!

January 19, 2010

This is the beginning of Bella’s birthday celebration week(s)! I have a good head count of the number of parents & kiddos coming to her birthday party #1 this weekend. More than I expected which is just awesome! We are so excited and glad she’s going to have friends there to celebrate with that are her age. I have already packed her birthday outfit and matching bow for the occasion, talked to my Dad about this coming weekend and us coming up there, and wrapped all her gifts. Mommy is ready to party! (You know, party as in jump in bouncy houses and help her open presents…)
Today was my first day back to work since I had yesterday off for MLK Day, and I have off this coming Friday as well. I love 3 day work weeks! We took off Friday to head to Dallas early. That way Eric can put her new bike together and I can get all the snacks and drinks on Friday instead of running around like a mad woman Saturday morning.
Tonight, we are relaxing together with leftovers from last night’s wonderful dinner, and watching American Idol & Biggest Looser. Bella loves both shows! We had to reschedule girl’s sushi night due to me having to finish packing and all, so it should happen sometime next month. I am a little saddened not to get to spend a night out with my best girls, but next month works out better because I won’t be rushed to get home and finish packing all night. I have the sweetest friends that completely understood. Thank goodness for them!!
My last note for today is the biggest, most exciting thing that’s happened in forever in our house… Bella is officially sleeping by herself, in her big girl bed, ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Might not seem like a big deal, but after we went on our cruise last March she was so scared we wouldn’t be there when she woke up, she started sleeping with us every night. Then we got to where Daddy would sleep with her in her bed most of the night. Now we are finally back to normal!! Thank you God! I actually know what it means to get a full night’s sleep again! Hallelujah!!!

This weekend went by pretty fast. The circus was fun, except for the fact that Bella wanted every single thing they were selling! She got 2 toys and cotton candy. She did okay the rest of the time and ended up loving the elephants. It was a good girl's time! Yesterday, we took Bella over to Eric's parents for the night. They hadn't seen her in a week or so, and are leaving for Las Vegas this week, so it was perfect timing! Also, it allowed Eric & I to have a last minute date night! We ended up having sushi and then coming home to watch the Golden Globes. We found a new sushi place in Cedar Park that has happy hour sushi all day Sunday. We loved it!!

Today, I am off for MLK Day. Eric is working, and Bella is at daycare, so I decided to clean the house and make Mexican Lasagna for dinner tonight! It's an old favorite of ours, and since I'm not rushing home tonight, it works out perfectly! I finally got all her gifts for her birthday party wrapped, and bought all everything for the goody bags for her party this Saturday and for her school party. I can't wait to see how well it goes this next 2 weeks!

Here are a few pictures from the circus! Enjoy!
