February 1, 2010

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of my friends, celebrities, and just normal people on the street sporting scarves with their outfits. I LOVE this trend! I have 3 scarves, but two are very wintery and aren’t cute without a huge coat on. So I am planning on running to Old Navy at lunch to see what they have. I love throwing a white t shirt on and a cute scarf and going. It goes well with jeans and flats or sandals. Just love it!

Now back to my family stuff… yesterday was an extremely boring day at our house. We cleaned, did laundry, and watched the Travel Channel most of the day. The weather was terribly cold outside, so we didn’t venture out too much except to DQ after dinner for some ice cream. Yep we’re those people who love ice cream when it’s freezing outside! I tried the fudge cookie dough blizzard and all I can say is Ah-May-Zing! It was like eating the bowl after you make brownies mixed with ice cream! YUM!! Now I know it’s not on my healthy eating/losing weight plan, but since I’ve pretty much been eating ½ of what I used to eat, and having a salad for lunch every day during the week, once isn’t going to kill me. So, we ate ice cream and watched the Grammy’s on TV. Bella was so sleepy by 6 p.m. or so, but we were able to keep her awake and happy until 8 p.m. when she started getting fussy and was ready for nighty nights! She was out like a light within minutes! Eric & I just relaxed and laughed at all the stupid outfits the musicians were wearing at the Emmy’s. I noticed a military /sci-fi theme going on throughout the show. We did run to Target and got the 3-D glasses for the MJ tribute. It was beautiful and we both thought they did wonderful on it. We saw “This is It” in the theaters when it first came out and loved it, so this made it flawless! I have to say my favorite performance was Pink. I cannot believe she dangled from a piece of cloth above everyone and was still able to actually sing and not lip sync to her song. I think the worst performance of the night was Taylor Swift. Now, I’m not a huge fan of hers, but I think she is a gifted singer… just not last night! She couldn’t hold a note to save her life, and it felt like Stevie Nicks was just trying to stay in tune with Taylor the whole time. Just me though!
So tonight we have no huge plans. Once Bella goes to bed, we’re logging on to book our hotel rooms for New Mexico. We know when and where we’re staying, so it’s just a matter of getting the rooms we want. Earlier is always better for me… it equals less stress!
Last thing for today, Bella’s 3 year check up with Dr. B is this Thursday. Other than the normal yearly check, I’m going to talk to him about her digestion. She has had unbelievable constipation since she was born, and it is not getting better. She was in so much pain this weekend, and her teachers say she never goes #2 in the potty because she barely has anything to push out. We’ve had her on Miralax since she was a baby, but even that doesn’t keep her regular. This weekend we put her back on Lactose Free milk again, and she is not allowed bananas or too much cheese, but nothing seems to work as of yet. Hopefully he can help me get her normal for once… I can only pray!
