April 4, 2010

Easter was just wonderful! Eric & I set the alarm and woke up at 6 a.m. to hide the Easter Eggs. All the forecasts said today was going to be beautiful and sunny... they were severely wrong! Ha! When we got outside, it was drizzly. Luckily it was in the 60's at 6 a.m., so it wasn't cold. We got all the eggs set and went back to bed until Bella woke us up around 6:45 a.m. We went and got her and she was so excited to see that the Easter Bunny had come and given her the Bolt DVD & bubbles in her basket plus around 40 Easter eggs hidden all over the backyard! We all had so much fun watching her get them all by herself. (Those pictures I will post tomorrow when my Mac is working better!)

Afterwards, I made our weekly Sunday breakfast of cinnamon rolls. I had planned on making a big breakfast, but found out Eric's parents had decided to make Easter dinner into Easter lunch, so I kept it simple and it worked out great!

We ended up getting to Grandma & Grandpa's a little late because Bella took a 2 hour nap. I was so thankful she took a long nap, because she was not in a good mood beforehand. The nap worked it's magic and Bella was an angel all day after! We ended up getting to their house around 12, and we all sat down for lunch. It was delicious to say the least! We had fajitas, chicken wings, guacamole, tortillas, and Grandma's famous potato salad! We all ate too much, and Sandra & I cleaned up while G&G and Uncle Mark hid the chicharones. In case you don't know what those are, they are real eggs that have been emptied, dried, & colored. They are then filled with confetti. Eric's parents bought 5 DOZEN of them to hide!! Bella was egg hunting for almost an hour!! Afterwards, we all smashed them on each other's head and laughed the whole time! When we were all done and cleaned up, we went back in and watched old videos of their Easters before. It was so cute for Bella to see her Dad when he was her age! She just loved it.

After we left, we drove around for a bit because the sun had finally come out. We found a patch of bluebonnets on the side of the road and stopped to take pictures along with 4 other families already there. It was such a great Easter! I posted pictures from the bluebonnets below and will post more tomorrow night! Happy Easter evening!

Mommy & Bella. This was at the end of the pictures and she was exhausted! I absolutely love this picture of us though.

My other favorite of the day! She is just adorable!!

Sitting in the flowers. Beautiful baby girl!

Daddy & Bella. Isn't my husband so handsome?! I love them!

Not the best family picture ever, but still okay!

Happy Easter 2010!
