Fun Father's Day

June 21, 2010

Yesterday we had so much fun on our very last vacation day. We started by going to church and celebrating Father's Day with our congregation. It was an uplifting experience!

We headed over to Eric's parents' house afterwards and had bbq'd steaks, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, & delicious desserts for lunch! The guys watched the World Cup while Mom, Sandra, & I chatted in the kitchen. Bella ran around the house playing with bubbles & singing most of the day! She looked so adorable in her sun dress! We left there and went to Eric's grandparents' house to have dinner with them as well. It was a great day, & I got home in time to do a little more laundry and spend some quality time with Bella for the evening. It was hard getting her back on her sleep schedule, but she was asleep by 9 and slept in her bed all night!

This morning, we all woke up groggy and not used to the 5:45 a.m. time! We all made it to school/work on time, even though Bella had a minor breakdown at school when she realized I wasn't going to be with her all day. Her teacher scooped her up and held her to calm her down while I snuck out. I felt terrible leaving, but knew she would cry since she has been with me & Daddy for the last 10 days all day and night. We got through it though, and I am already missing her! Hope everyone is having a good Monday!
