This week is turning out to be pretty busy for Bella at school. Today “The Zoo Man” is there for all the kids to look, touch, & learn about different animals. I made sure to sign her up, because Bella loves animals! I can promise you she won’t touch one of them though. We’ve tried taking her into numerous petting zoo’s and she is scared every time. That’s fine with me though, because even though I am an animal lover, those animals are kinda dirty! Ha!

Tomorrow, Bella has her 2nd swim lesson. She is so happy she is in swim class. We had to hide her swimsuit and towel so she wouldn’t ask to wear them constantly after school! She’s turning into my little sports girl! (Just the way Daddy wants it! Ha!)

Thursday, Bella’s school is having a Easter Egg Hunt! They made homemade Easter baskets yesterday for it, and will have the egg hunt during their usual morning play time. I’m excited and a little worried about this one. Bella is one of the smaller/younger kids in her class, so hopefully she’ll be quick enough to get some eggs!

Friday, Bella’s school is having an Easter party. I’ll be bringing Easter cookies for them to enjoy & Bella can’t wait for another party. It seems like almost a weekly event now for them with all the birthdays & holidays!

Bella’s school is just amazing & I can tell you that Bella just loves going there. Whenever we drive past it on the weekends, she points at it and asks when she gets to go again! I couldn’t be happier with where we decided to take her.

For 3 hours, my husband has been trying to switch out our kitchen faucet. When we moved in here, I said that was going to be the very 1st thing we change... 7 months later, we are finally changing it! This morning, we headed to Lowe's and found a perfect faucet for our kitchen. Now 3 hours later, Eric is still under the sink trying to get the horrible old faucet off! Wow, what a Sunday...

Last thing for this weekend, Bella is now officially in her last car seat we will ever have to buy! She has grown out of her car seat we've had since she was 1, so we went today and got her a new one. It's a high back booster seat. It's from Evenflo and has places to put her drinks & lights near the headrest for her to read at night. We went on a car ride once we got it in, and she seems to really like it. You can tell she is much more comfortable than in her last seat. The great thing about it is when she gets older and too big for the car seat, you can take the back off and just have the booster.

Faucet Update: Eric finished at 8 p.m. and it looks perfect! We are so proud of him! And seriously, my kitchen looks so much better, I'm happy!!

March 26, 2010

First of all, thank you for all the prayers. They were definitely heard!

I would love to go into detail about what happened, but it's 9:30, I've been up for over 16 hours, and Bella just went down to bed. To make a very long story short, she did great! She got all 3 cavities filled, we got to see what she would look like to be loopy @ 3 years old (due to her medicine! Hilarious!!), and we made it home safe and sound. She was fuzzy for about 4 hours or so, but is much better now, and says her mouth feels fine! We haven't even had to give her Tylenol for pain yet! Thank you Lord! Our prayers were answered and Bella is her happy, healthy, 3 year old self!

Goodnight Blogging World!

My stomach is in knots, and I'm trying to keep a happy face for Bella, but inside I am scared. I know it's only cavities and like I said before, I'm not worried about the procedure, I am worried about the anesthesia. When Eric called his dental insurance, he gave them the codes we got and she said that is nitrous oxide. Eric & I decided before she gets anything, we will question everything she is getting and why.

Like I said, I know she's not undergoing a huge surgery tomorrow morning, but she is still getting "put under". I have been praying and praying for her to make it out safely, and if you would like to join me, we would really appreciate it! Will post after she is out and we are home safely tomorrow...

For now though, I thought I would post pictures of Bella from this afternoon. I ordered her a tin from Whimsy Tin in February and it came in today!! Bella was so excited to open her "surprise" and just look at her face when she saw it! The great thing is she can use it for many years to come! I just love it!! (About the pictures, they came out a little dark, it was beautifully bright outside!)

Bella opening the box it came in.

Look at her face! She was surprised and excited!

Twirling it around to see the bunnies!

Looking at her name on the tin!

She really liked it!

Bella's new Easter Tin!

Hello!! How cute is this?!

She's going to get tons of Easter Eggs with this!

March 24, 2010

Tomorrow night we as a family are hunkering down and getting Bella full of food before bed. Friday morning is her dental appointment, & she is not allowed food or water the morning before. Eric & I are getting to the worrying stage right now. I know she is only having cavities filled, which isn’t the scary part. The scary part is her getting anesthesia. She’s never gotten anything more than Tylenol or Benadryl before, so this is huge to us. The dentist has told us we have to be with her for the next 24 hours after to make sure she is okay. They have also warned us that she might get very angry or very sad for no reason because of the side effects of the medicine. When Eric took Bella to Dr. B last week, he brought the name of the medicine and Dr. B said it’s a very safe medicine and not to worry. Easier said than done! We are planning on keeping her mainly on the couch the whole day so we can watch her, and then letting her sleep with us that night just in case! I am a worrying Mom and keep praying she will be fine. I know it’s just cavities and not a big surgery, but anesthesia worries me no matter how severe. I will try to update on Friday to let everyone know she is okay.

On a happier note, Bella had her 1st swim class today. I called Grandma and talked to Bella. I can't describe how excited she was that she got to swim in the big pool! She said she even got to go under the water. I was surprised because I don't even go under the water. Ha! I am so proud of her and know she is so excited!

Tonight, Bella is with Grandma, so Eric & I decided to go for sushi. We were going to watch Shutter Island, but found out it’s over 2 hours long, and with Eric not getting home until at least 7, it was a definite no go for us since we have to be up early for work tomorrow. So, we decided sushi sounded delicious. It’ll be nice to have a nice “date night” with Eric again.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be sunny and in the high 70’s! Going from snow last weekend to flip flops this weekend! Only in Texas!! Sonia, Sandra, & I are doing a little girl’s shopping Saturday afternoon. We have to get Stephanie’s baby shower gifts and do a little of our own shopping in the process! It’ll be a lot of fun! Have a great rest of the week! Updates on Bella coming soon!!

March 23, 2010

Today was a normal day, and I couldn't be any happier! I think (pray to God is more like it!) that the sickness is completely out of our house! Yeah!!!

Last night Bella was so excited about her new swimsuit and swim classes, she decided she had to wear her swimsuit in the bath. She was just so excited, we couldn't say no. Bath time was so much fun, and although it was hard to wash her little body in the swimsuit, we got her all clean and had fun in the process.

Today we are relaxing and taking it easy all night. Bella's just excited and waiting for her 1st swim class tomorrow.

Tomorrow night Bella is staying with Grandma. Grandpa is out of town, so Bella is going to keep her company. We're not saying anything to Bella, because when we tell her early, she ends up crying because she wants to go right away. Grandma is picking her up at daycare Wednesday instead to surprise her. Eric & I are planning a date night! Dinner & a movie, I seriously can't wait!!

Happy Tuesday!

Here are some pictures from Sunday morning at Papa's house! We weren't expecting snow when I packed, so Bella is wearing my Dad's old hat! She looks so adorable in it!! Enjoy!

Also, I signed Bella up at her daycare for swim lessons. She starts this Wednesday, so I ran to Target at lunch today and got her an adorable swim suit & Tinkerbell beach towel. She is so excited! Although I won't be at the classes with her, I will be taking pictures of her in her new swimsuit Wednesday morning before her 1st class! I can't wait!!

Today would have been my parents' 41st anniversary. Dad has a candle lit on his fireplace since the minute he woke up this morning for her. We all miss you Mom!

This weekend was so much fun! We drove to my Dad's house Friday night. I wasn't feeling very well, so when we got there, we just relaxed and caught up with Dad & Mary.

Saturday, we ran some errands & came back to get ready for Audrey's Baby Shower. We left around 1 and headed to Roanoke. Once we got there, Eric & Zach left to go watch the March Madness games. Bella & I stayed and celebrated the upcoming birth of Baby Brady! Audrey looked adorable! She looks like she hasn't gained any weight except for the little basketball in her stomach. So cute!! We had so much fun and Audrey was so sweet. She let Bella help her open her gifts. Some Bella opened herself and then showed Audrey what she got! Haha! But Audrey was so kind and let her play and help open everything! Afterwards, we had some delicious cake and punch. Once the guys got back we got to catch up before heading back to my Dad's. Tanya met us at Dad's and we all had some yummy home cooked meal! We were all exhausted so we ended the night pretty early.

Today we had breakfast with Dad and then got ready and headed back to Austin. It snowed overnight at Dad's house, so before breakfast, we let Bella play in the snow out back. She just loved it! I can't believe the 1st day of Spring and we get snow!! Never happens in Texas! Once we got back to Austin, we did a little shopping and just relaxed and cleaned the house. Now I'm about to make shrimp scampi for dinner and have a nice family night. Hoping this week goes better than the last 2! Happy Sunday!

From the Munoz Family to yours...

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

March 16, 2010

Please God, give me the grace to get through this....

I am going to be completely open and honest. (Not that I'm usually dishonest, just wanting to be open about everything.) The last few weeks, I have been beyond my limit of stress. Way beyond. When I was sick, I thought, "Once I get through this, everything will be fine and the stress will go away." Yeah, I was extremely WRONG about that. Bella ran a low grade fever last Friday, then threw up EVERYWHERE last night, and today just topped it off. 3 p.m. her school calls me and lets me know that since she woke up from her nap she complained of a bad headache. She was not running a fever, but they said she hadn't even gotten up from her nap mat yet and nap time was over 45 minutes ago! I rushed out of work, called Eric's mom & had her pick Bella up since she was close, and met them at her house.

It just seems that if it's not one thing, it's another. I keep questioning how much else our family can take right now. I know that sickness isn't something that can be helped before it happens, and that we are extremely lucky that I am not in the hospital (or worse) with meningitis, that Bella doesn't have something worse than headaches and vomiting, but just feel like I've been beaten down a few too many times lately.
I keep praying that the sickness & stress will end soon, and I know God has a plan for us. I will keep praying and hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.

Eric is staying home from work tomorrow (because I have no time off left) to take Bella to the doctors and make sure she is okay. I will keep everyone updated on Bella...
Update on Bella: Eric took her to the doctors this morning and he says it’s just bad allergies. Her lungs, ears, throat, & nose are all clear. Thank you God! Eric says she is happy and dancing around CVS Pharmacy! I finally feel the stress starting to melt off… Thank you for everyone who helped in praying and caring for us during this time. We really appreciate it!

On a side note: A friend of mine's daughter is undergoing some major testing this week. They think she might have a tumor in her neck/head area that will need to be surgically removed. Please help me in praying for her baby girl, she is only 2 1/2 years old & is such a loving beautiful baby girl! Our thoughts and prayers are with their family right now!
