Okay, let me step off my soap box real quick! Ha! So we found out today that Eric got a promotion! Woo-Hoo!!! He is going to be 5 minutes from home now and we can't wait! We always said we would never buy a house because of the proximity to Eric's work. The reason for it is because they transfer their managers so often around the city. Luckily, Austin is a smaller city, so it's only a 30 minute drive when he worked down South. We are super excited to know he'll be home at a decent time now though! Congrats LOVE!

Since Bella is feeling better, we decided to keep all of our weekend plans. Tomorrow morning, I am meeting the girls at Avante Spa for a girl's pedicure day. We're going to be there for quite a while, but apparently should be nice and happy with some wine & good conversation. Afterwards, we're headed to Chuy's to meet the hubby's for dinner. Should be a wonderful, relaxing day!

Sunday, we're picking Bella up from Grandma's in time for church. After church, we are heading to downtown Austin for the Pecan Street Festival. It's a family fun kind of festival with tons of music, food, arts, & crafts. As long as the weather is good, than we will be having some family fun and loving our Sunday!

We hope everyone has a great weekend!

This week has been hectic & crazy, yet the slowest week thus far. All week my daughter has decided that she is now attached to my hip. She goes everywhere in the house I go, and is a great happy girl until Daddy gets home. Then she decides to become a Drama Queen and throw herself on my lap when we tell her to do anything! Usually we just laugh until she gets upset enough she goes and does what we tell her. My work has been pretty stressful all week, so last night I texted Melissa to see if she was busy and ended up going to her house to watch American Idol & have a glass of wine. It was great to catch up with her, and I got home in time to watch tv with Eric before bed as well.

This weekend is going to be a lot of fun. I have a full girl’s day ahead of me on Saturday. Sandra, Amanda, Justine, & my hubby’s got together and got all of us gift cards to a swanky spa for pedicures (for Valentine’s Day). When we went to make appointments, we found out they only have 1 lady who does pedicures! So now 3 months later, we’re all going together from 11:45 a.m. – 5 p.m. to get them. We plan on drinking a little wine and just making it a full relaxing, fun, girl’s day. Afterwards, we’re heading to Chuy’s for happy hour and wait for all the hubbies to get of work and meet us for dinner. Eric only works until noon, so he’ll probably be there in time for happy hour! Ha! We plan on ending the fabulous day at Opal Divine’s with a little more wine & trivia! Should be a great day!!

Sunday, we’re going to pick Bella up and head to church. Afterwards, we are going to get Aaron’s wedding gift, then coming home to clean and relax a little. We figure if the weather is nice, we’ll probably end up at a park, flying her kite, or teaching her how to ride her bike! I absolutely love family Sundays!!!

Have a great weekend!

Today was such a beautiful day in Austin. The high was in the mid-80's and not a cloud in sight! Eric had to work for a few hours, so Bella & I played in the backyard, took a nap together, and then watched cartoons until he got home. Once he came home, we took Bella to a nearby elementary school to play at the playground & fly her Spiderman kite. She was in heaven! We only got to play for 30 minutes because it was hot and we could see Bella's face getting red quickly. We had so much fun while we were there and thank goodness I remembered my camera! Enjoy!

Whew what a day!!! Let me start with work... about 10:30 a.m. my computer went down and I was terrified a virus had gotten into my computer. Turns out it was 1/2 of the company, and so for the rest of the day, I had to help customers without any type of computer. To top it off, I left my IPhone at home, so I had no access to the internet, my emails, or anything! I felt so removed from the world! Ha!

The good thing, Eric got off work at noon and went to get Bella. My sweet husband cleaned our downstairs and took Bella to the park for a few hours. By the time I got home, they were both exhausted, my house was cleaned, and they were ready for Mommy to cook dinner. I did (of course!) and then we both got Bella bathed.

Now we're all watching American Idol gives back and realizing how thankful we are for everything we have. You never think how great you have it until you see someone with much less. Eric & I thank God everyday for everything we have.

Please take a quick moment to think about all the blessings in your life, as me & my family do the same.

1st off, I must say happy birthday to my big sis, Tanya! I hope you have such a wonderful birthday! You are not only my sis, but my best friend! I love you more than words, and hope you have a wonderful year!

So, in the non-working stove news, now one of my burners is out too! Seriously!! I went to cook on my favorite burner (we have gas, thank goodness! I love cooking on a gas stove!!) and it wouldn't light. It just sat there clicking and making my kitchen smell like gas. So now I am down to 3 burners and no stove... joy.

Last night was really low key for us, due to the non working stove, I bbq'd chicken (healthy which is good) & made dinner while Bella watched Barney. I had to stop on the way home at Walgreens and it was so funny, Bella danced through the entire store! Everyone was smiling and thought she was adorable! He teachers all loved her new haircut & we got it done just in time! Her school pictures are tomorrow. I had to talk to Ms. Betsy and make sure they took them before her swim class tomorrow, because I would hate to see pictures of her hair either wet or dry and sticking out everywhere! At least these will be her 1st professional pictures with the new 'do.

We have 2 fun things coming up for Eric & I! Thursday, we are celebrating Travis' birthday by going to the Salt Lick in Driftwood for dinner. It'll be all Eric's friends from high school time (they all still hang out which I think is great!) and me. Ha! It'll be fun and a delicious meal! Saturday night, we're having people over for another Wii night! We all had so much fun last time, so Eric & I thought it was a good time to have another. Hopefully it will be just as fun if not more!

Happy Tuesday!!

It been a few weeks since I felt like my family & I had a wonderful fun filled family weekend. This is one of those weekends. I posted yesterday on everything we did, and today was just as great! This morning we woke up early and got ready to go to church. It amazed me how excited Bella was to go. It warms my heart to know we found a great church, close to home, that Bella, Eric & I all love. It was a great service, and Bella learned a song called "Jesus is my Best Friend". Too adorable!!
After church we did our weekly grocery shopping, and then went home to have lunch and a nap. Bella was really tired by the time nap came around, she was so sleepy, she went straight to her bed and slept for 90 minutes.
We had to do a quick run back to the Domain, where we decided to check out a new movie theater opening May 7th called Gold Class Movie Theater. OMG this place is like flying first class! It's like an Alamo Draft House, but only seats 20-40 people per movie! The reason is because it has huge chairs to relax in that recline! We were shocked at how nice this place is going to be. Bella even liked it and wanted to watch a movie!
After we got home, Eric gave Bella a bath while I made turkey tostadas for dinner. It was a great day/weekend overall and Bella was such an angel all weekend!!

Today was so much fun! We picked Bella up from Grandma's after breakfast and went to get her hair cut. We decided to chop it all off before the weather heated up. Bella was so excited and she did really well! Here's a before picture with her beautiful long hair...

Getting started on the cutting...

And the back after it was all done!

Afterwards, we went to Target, lunch, and then headed home for a nap. After nap time, we headed to the Domain to get Aunt Tanya's birthday gift. Here is Bella with her new hair do playing in the sprinklers at the Domain... How adorable does she look?!?!

After we left the Domain, we headed to dinner at Chuck E. Cheese! We decided to surprise Bella and take her there for pizza and some games. She was so happy she was shaking when she saw Chuck E. Cheese walking around! Fun Night overall!!

Talking to Mr. Cheese on the phone...

Practicing riding a horse

Driving Mr. Cheese around...

Going on a Merry Go Round...

Playing basketball with Daddy...

My 2 favorite people!

Flying on a jet plane...

She decided her last thing to do was talk to Chuck E. Cheese on the phone one more time!
Overall, such a great day! Tomorrow will be a lot more laid back and relaxing overall. We only have church and grocery shopping planned. Have a great weekend!

It's Tax Day... thank goodness we already filed 2 months ago and got our tax return back! I hate leaving things until the last minutes and taxes are definitely one thing we don't mess with.

So yesterday Bella had her swim class, which she loved of course. She talked all about it on the way home after I picked her up last night. She was in such a good mood all night, and that seems to be the norm on Wednesday nights, which Mommy & Daddy just love! The only downfall of the night was the oven... The door has officially had it. Eric worked on it for almost an hour or so, and was able to get the door opened, but not able to close back up. We've decided it's time for a new one sometime in the near future. Luckily, the stove top still works and we bbq more than bake, so we can wait and save some $$ beforehand!

We decided this weekend we will be family weekend! We plan on taking Bella to get her hair cut (can't wait!) and then having dinner Saturday night at Chuck E Cheese! I am sure it will be packed, but that makes it fun too! We have a few errands to run, but overall, just hanging out playing with Bella. I can't wait!!

We are having a major breakthrough at our house… Bella is almost totally potty trained! We’ve gone days without any accidents, and she is sleeping through her 2 hour nap without having any accidents either! Woo-Hoo!!

Last night was a nice relaxing one at our house, well not really relaxing at first, but it ended that way! When Bella & I got home, I turned the oven on to cook some tilapia. Within minutes, my oven was smoking and my smoke alarms were going off. Apparently, my oven is quite dirty and let me know about it yesterday! I was running around opening the doors and windows to disarm the smoke alarm, when my huge set of 2” blinds in my dining room decided to fall off and land right on top of my head! Ouch that hurt!! It was just me and Bella, so I made sure not to show any pain, because it scares her. I just calmly went to my phone and called Eric and told him we were eating out tonight. We ended up grabbing something through the drive through and then coming home and turning on the self cleaning feature on my stove. Whew it smelt bad and heated up my whole house! Bella kept telling me the house was smelly!

This morning I went to check on my stove (it finished last night before bed, but was still hot, so I let it cool down overnight) I seriously can’t open my stove’s door! I even had Eric try and he couldn’t either. After both trying for a few minutes, we decided to leave it and try tonight. I am praying we won’t have to get someone to come out to fix it!

Friday night, I am getting a much needed night off and going to Vivo’s with the girls! It’s a Mexican restaurant downtown that I’ve heard great things about, & they just opened one near Lakeline, so we all decided to go. I am super excited to get out and catch up with my girls. They are always so much fun! That’s all the plans we have for the weekend, but I am sure more will pop up as we go. Have a great rest of the week!

Potty training update: Bella went ALL DAY yesterday in her undies without ANY accidents!!! And she was home, not at daycare! It looks like pretty soon (knock on wood!) the diapers will go bye-bye just like her paci’s!

Paci Update: We are officially paci free!! She hasn’t used one since Wednesday night!! Hasn’t even asked for a paci! She said, “I’m a big girl, and big girls don’t use paci’s!” We are so happy & proud!

Have a good Monday, I am trying to turn mine around. (Dead battery in my car this morning, got to work an hour late!) I refuse to let it put me in a bad mood! Ha! Have a great day everyone!!

This weekend we had tons of fun with my Dad & Mary. Saturday Bella & I took them to Gruene, TX. It's one of my favorite little towns, and this time we got to walk around the most of the town and see the sights. We finished the day by eating lunch at the Gristmill & then going to a winery to try a few samples and bring some home. Saturday night Eric parents came over to visit, and we bbq'd steaks. It was a great night and Bella got to hang out with all 4 of her Grandparents at the same time! She was in Heaven! Here are some pictures from the weekend. I didn't take too many because I wanted to savor my time with Bella & my parents. Enjoy what I have though!

Happy Friday! Tonight, my Dad & Mary come into town to visit. We are all so excited to have them come and see our new casa. They got to see it last time they were in town, but we hadn't bought it yet, so it looked a little different. We are planning on going to Gruene, TX tomorrow to see Gruene Hall & eat lunch at the Gristmill. They have never been & neither has Bella, so it should be a lot of fun! We are bbqing steaks tomorrow night for mine & Eric's parents. I can't wait, it should be a great weekend!

Last night I got my hair done (thank goodness!) and then Eric & I went to eat at Chuy's. We were both so exhausted from the previous night with Bella, that we got home at 9 p.m. and went to sleep. I slept all night and feel so much better today!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
