Heart of Haiti Review

January 6, 2011

It's almost the year (January 12th) anniversary of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti.  Even though the media has gone home, and people have gone back to their normal lives, the people in Haiti are still struggling to live & they still need help.  Macy's has teamed up with Heart of Haiti & Fairwinds Trading to get artists in Haiti to make beautiful crafts to sell that will give back to the Haitian community. They are beautiful works of art that display their life & culture. By going to http://www.macys.com/heartofhaiti you can look at all the beautiful crafts these wonderful artist made and buy something for yourself or as a wonderful gift!

These artists used recycled oil drums, paper mache, wrought iron, & stone to make beautiful works of art!  Best thing of all, the income made from the sales of these items will go back into building the communities in Haiti still trying to get their own lives back to normalcy.  More information on the Heart of Haiti Project and the products for purchase can be found http://www.macys.com/heartofhaiti. Please click on the link and look to see if there is anything that you fall in love with!  (There were TONS of things I love on there!)

Disclosure: I was selected for this very special “CleverHaiti” opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity. All opinions are my own.
