Now I have that song stuck in my head all day...
Anyway, this weekend we are doing the redecoration on the house. We're making our headboard I posted about here, plus painting a wall in the living room! I have been so excited for this weekend for a while! I will be taking pictures of the whole process & hoping everything turns out okay!
Saturday night we're taking a break from the work & meeting my Sis-in-Law & Bro-in-Law for dinner & drinks. We haven't been out in ages and it sounds like a perfect time to just get out of the house (which will probably be in ruins by the time we leave for the night!) and have fun with friends.
Momma will be ready for some of this...

So I hope everyone has a fab weekend & I will be posting the pictures on Monday. That is unless we're not done with the headboard by then... time will tell!

With Fall supposedly here (the high today is 100!), I am shopping like crazy and loving the idea of scarves, sweaters, boots, etc. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year & here are some of my favorite outfits!
I am always in a cardigan & this one is so adorable!! Plus you know my obsession with scarves! Perfection!!
I actually have that pair of sunglasses and love them! The boots are perfection!
I'm not a heels type girl, but for date night with the hubs this whole outfit is just delightful!!
What are your favorite trends for Fall?

Today would have been my mom's 65th birthday.
My mom was such a wonderful, faithful, honest, loving person & even though it's been over 9 years since she passed away, there is never a day that goes by when I don't think of her.
I know she is watching over us & I hope she is proud of the woman and mom I am. I love and miss you Mom.

Before you think anything bad about the name of this post, let me tell you...
I'm finally on Pinterest!!! I joined a few weeks ago and love everything about it! I've be re-pinning like a mad woman! If you are a member of Pinterest, please leave me a link on the comments so I can follow you! Here's mine!
I've read a few blogs that are naming their guilty pleasures & decided to join in on the fun! (Thanks to Breakfast at Toast for the idea!) Okay lovelies, let's dig in!
1) I LOVE TV! I watch and dvr hours and hours of tv every week. Now granted, it might take me a few weeks to catch up on a show, I still love watching them! My favorites are Vampire Diaries & Grey's Anatomy. I know, I love anything that has to do with vampires! Yum!
Definitely my guilty tv show pleasure!
Also, anyone catch the season premiere of Boardwalk Empire?! Awesome! I love HBO series, and Boardwalk is one of the best!
2) Shopping online. I could shop online for hours! I know what size I wear and what I like, so shopping online is quick and easy. I actually get 90% of Bella's Christmas gifts online. Beats going to a mall and waiting in line forever!
3) Food. I am currently dieting to get ready for our Disney Cruise next year, but gosh how I love to eat! Give me some Puerto Rican, Mexican, Italian, or even just really good bread with cheese & I am in Heaven! Food can actually brighten my mood if I know I'm going to eat something delicious tonight.
Reminds me of Christmas! Yummmm!!
4) Makeup & hair products. Yep I'm a stickler for expensive makeup & hair products. I love Redken's Blonde Glam, anything from Aquage, & Bed Head's Afterparty. I keep trying the lower priced grocery store kinds, but my hair just doesn't like it... shocking I know! Makeup I could go on & on, but my absoute favs are BareMinerals. They are Ah-Maz-Ing! I've used them for at least 5 years and would never buy anything else! I just bought Nars Blush in that lovely named one (you ladies know which one I'm talking about!) and it's perfect on my face! And yes, I went to Nordstroms.com and ordered it without trying it out, somehow I knew it would be awesome!
So what are your guilty pleasures?!

This weekend was supposed to be a nice quiet family weekend, but quickly changed once we realized Bella had a classmate's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese to attend! Let me start at the beginning...
Saturday morning Eric had to work so I took Bella to swim class.
Bella sporting her swimsuit coverup before going to Aquatots!
How cute is that coverup?! Target had them on for $4.50!! I was too excited not to buy one! (Now back to the weekend) So we went to Aquatots class & Bella did awesome & actually got a ribbon for being a Fearless Floater! She was overjoyed, but has since decided that she is done with swimming and it's time to move onto gymnastics! (This Momma is uber excited since I myself was a gymnast wayyyy back when!)
After swim class, we went home and got her bathed & ready for her party. The only problem was that it wasn't for 6 more hours! When Eric got home from work, we decided to go meet some of his friends at a wing place and cheer on the Aggies. (Yes I know, Aggies?! But we had a lot of fun & it was a great game!)
Then it was onto Chuck E Cheese... Lord help us all! The party was actually a lot of fun & Bella knew all the kids. They played for quite a while & I got to meet their parents. After all the cake was eaten, presents were opened, & kids screamed their heads off, we made it home.
Bella & Alex at the Cheese's. She was so excited she closed her eyes for the picture!
Sunday we went to church, then headed to Grandma & Grandpa's house to catch up. They just got back from vacation & we got to see how it went. Bella was so excited to see them & it just made her day! We were planning on heading to Costco afterwards, but once we got into the car Bella was fast asleep. So we went, but Eric went in to grab a few things & I stayed in the car with her to let her get some beauty rest. We spent the evening watching football & bbqing at a friend's house before heading home and falling asleep before 9. Nice fun weekend and not at all planned... Momma could get used to this!

Okay so when we upgraded to a king sized bed last Spring, we knew the headboard was going to have to wait. I researched, shopped online, went to stores, etc looking for the perfect headboard for our master bedroom. Our walls are tan & there are black frames throughout the room with espresso furniture.
In my research I came across an idea that I instantly loved... A Door Headboard!! Genius! So next weekend we are attempting to make our own headboard. I will take pictures throughout the process & post next weekend. Here's an idea of what we want it to turn out like, but in black instead of white.
I think it's going to look perfect in our room. After we finish I am ordering a wall decal with our monogram on it to put over the headboard. Let's pray this all turns out beautifully!
Here's what our monograms will exactly look like! EMS! Perfection!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Bella loves to go outside and play all afternoon, especially when Daddy grills! We'll go out and play catch, chase bubbles, play tag, you name it, we do it! She's such an outdoors type girl, and even though I prefer indoors, I'm learning to like playing and getting exercise outside more and more.
That's why I am excited about the Clorox2 Play 2Day Pledge! It gets kids and parents outside, enjoying the fall weather, and getting some exercise all while having fun together & spending some quality time as a family! Who doesn't love quality time? Especially with how hectic our lives are these days, Clorox 2 Pledge is perfect for our family!
September 24, 2011 is the official Day of Play, so please join and get your kids outside!
I encourage all of you with kids to go to the Clorox2 Play 2Day Pledge & pledge to get your children outside playing instead of on a computer or in front of a tv. We could all use more exercise in our lives & children are no different. It doesn't matter if you decide to play a game of touch football, jump rope, a round of basketball, etc. just get them out in the fresh air enjoying each other, you, and most of all exercising!
Bella is all about the running around; playing until her legs want to fall off and she is sweaty. Eric loves sports, so when they have any free time, they run out back and play together. I decided a while back to join them once and had the time of my life! We all played catch with a big bouncy ball she has & it was so fun to watch her laugh & scream with joy all while running around trying to catch a huge pink ball!
Tonight, we are grilling chicken & asparagus once Daddy gets home from work. We went and bought a new set of bubbles, and plan on blowing them all over the backyard this evening while Bella tries to "catch" them. I am a true believer in this initiative & hope you will be too.
So please go to Clorox2 Play 2Day Pledge, make your pledge, then get your children outside and let them play! Remember, Sept. 24th is the official Day of Play, but I encourage you to have an hour or so every day outside while the weather is still beautiful. What's greater than showing your children you have time for them all while they (and you!) get some exercise! Teach them that there are better ways to spend the day, then watching cartoons, sitting around & not getting outdoors. It may change theirs and your lives!!

Is anyone else as excited as I am for the Fall to be starting today?! We've had a LONG HOTTTT Summer, and I am ready for it to be OVER! (For those counting, we hit 85 days of 100+ degree weather this year)
I am ready to carve pumpkins, make pumpkin cheesecake, wear scarves & flats again, and mainly to get away from dying of heat every time I get into my car.
So Welcome Fall, Glad You Finally Made It!

Sorry I am a day late, but there's been some sickness going around our house since we got back from San Antonio. Nothing major, but it's caused Momma to be completely exhausted & not enough energy to turn the Mac on let alone blog!
Before the sickness hit, we had a fabulous anniversary weekend! It was very low key & not romantic at all, but we loved it! We got to our hotel Saturday morning & was able to check in early! Afterwards, we went shopping & eating around the Riverwalk.

After all the shopping & lunch, we went back to the hotel to take naps & watch the Horns kick some UCLA booty!! We were so excited they did so well & are now 3 - 0!!
We decided to head to dinner early & eat at Landry's on the Riverwalk. It was delicious to say the least!!
Heading out for our anniversary dinner
Aren't they the cutest?! LOVE this picture!
After dinner, we met with some friends that live in San Antonio & went to an Ice House there called the Friendly Place. They have tons of beer on tap, & have a huge playground for the kids to play in. Bella loved it & so did we!
Sunday morning we had breakfast on the patio before heading home.
Such a fun weekend & anniversary!!
Sunday morning on the Riverwalk. Can't she be any more adorable?!

Sunday will mark Eric & my 7 year wedding anniversary.
I can't believe how fast 7 years has flown by. I still remember our wedding day like it was yesterday. We've been together almost 12 years now, & if you know us, you know we're not only married, but we're best friends. Eric knows how to make me laugh when I'm stressed or sad, and I know I can call him about anything and he'll always make me feel better.
We're blessed to have a great marriage & a beautiful daughter. Life isn't always easy for us, but together with our faith, we get through it.
Eric, I am so glad to be celebrating 7 years together and can't wait to celebrate 70 more! I love you & Bella more than words can describe & am so glad I found you so early in life. Happy Anniversary!

Yandy.com has tons of sexy halloween costumes for men & women. When I was asked to review, I thought, "Yeah I'm not really into the sexy Halloween costumes at 30 years old!" But I was wrong, they have some really cute costumes!! We decided to get my husband his costume from there because he was the last one without a costume for this year.
Eric's Halloween Costume
I ordered the costume on Saturday afternoon & it was at my front door on Monday evening! Extremely fast shipping is a huge plus for our family! I also got a free set of undies with my order (which is a plus for me!) The costume came in & at first I was worried, because he let Bella pick it out, and to me it looked a little flashy and poor quality. When I opened it up, I was pleasantly pleased to see that although it is silver, it's not flashy and very well made! Eric was happy with it as well and he never likes dressing up for Halloween!
We will definitely be looking at purchasing future Halloween costumes on Yandy!!
Disclosure: I was given the opportunity to review Cardi Wrap from Kailani, and given one to try in order to review. I was not compensated in any way to write a positive or favorable review. All opinions expressed are that of My Munoz Family.

I posted last Thursday that our family & lives are finally going to get back to normal over the weekend... NOPE! For some reason, from the time I picked Bella up from school Thursday afternoon until we went to sleep last night all Bella did was whine & cry. She also was awesome enough to cling to me constantly all weekend! YEA! (note the sarcasm here!)
I don't know if something happened or not, but by last night I was fed up with the whining. 3 hour car ride listening to whining and crying had me over my breaking point! I had to just remember to let myself breathe and grind my teeth so I wouldn't get flustered or extremely mad at her.
This morning she seemed back to her normal happy-go-lucky self, so I am praying she stays that way. Momma can't handle another whiny evening! Haha!

Sept. 11, 2001 - I was a junior in college at Southwest Texas State University. My roommate & I decided to skip Tuesday morning classes to sleep in. Eric called me around 8:30 and told me to turn on the tv. I asked him what channel to put it on and he said, "Any channel it doesn't matter." So I turned on the tv in my bedroom & saw NYC. My first question to him was, "Honey, where are the twin towers?!" That's when I knew.
I immediately went in to wake Amanda up, then called my parents. Dad was extremely scared and told me to please start calling all of our family in New York City & make sure they are okay. I called for 12 hours straight only to get busy signals.
9/11 is not only the day 2,987 people lost their lives, it is also the day that changed America forever. I will never forget the people who ran into the burning towers to help get everyone out. They are not only fireman, EMS, & police; they are the true hero's of our time.
God Bless everyone who lost their lives that day & all of the hero's that are now loosing their lives to cancer due to working in those terrible conditions. We will never forget any one of you & we will always be thankful for everything you did.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Last night alone was nice, but a little too quiet for me. I kept waiting to hear Bella yelling "Mommy!" 15x before I get upstairs to see what's wrong, or to have Eric saying he'll clean the kitchen, only to just rinse the pots & pans then leave them in the sink for me to clean. Alas, no, it was all me by myself & it was lovely. I watched the shows I wanted to watch, went to bed when I felt sleepy, etc. Bliss I tell you!
Today we are getting back to normal. I am picking Belle up from school after her field trip, then heading home to make sure everything is packed before Eric flies back in town only to drive 3 hours to Dallas tonight. Yep, that sounds more like a normal day in our family to me!
I won't be able to post again until Monday because tomorrow we are having a small memorial for my Momma and then having a family lunch at one of her favorite restaurants we used to go with her to. It's going to be a beautiful day & one that I'll never forget.
So until we meet again... have a wonderful weekend!
September 7, 2011
Here's 2 pictures from the weekend of Bella & her cousin Austyn. Although they didn't get to stay for long this time, the kiddos really had fun together and are getting to see each other again this coming weekend!

Hook 'Em Horns!
Tonight I am meeting Sonia at CPK for dinner. It's my 1st night alone in 10 years or so, and I didn't want to go home and sit around all night watching tv & eating terribly bad food. So we're meeting for dinner & then heading to Cru for a glass of wine. It's going to be so much fun to get to catch up & have some time away!
I honestly won't be posting much this week, so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Lastly, I want to say Happy Birthday to my MIL! She's the best MIL I could ever ask for & I hope she has a fabulous day!! Love ya!
September 6, 2011
I usually post about our weekend, but today I am asking everyone to join me in prayer for the people who have lost their homes to the wildfires breaking out all over Texas. I live only a few miles away from areas that are now devastated due to these fires.
Please help me in praying for the people all over Texas whose houses are in question or know already they have no home to come back to. Especially Bastrop County, Steiner Ranch, & Leander. Thank you.
