Cheese Loaf Dip

Okay this dip I make for EVERY SINGLE PARTY we throw. And no lie, it's completely gone including the bread bowl by the time the party ends. Crumbs people! This is the most amazing dip... promise!

Cheese Loaf Dip

2 cups real mayonnaise
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 med size onion (finely chopped)
salt,pepper, and garlic powder to taste
2 loaves of French Bread ( or dough bread )

Cut and hollow out the oval section in one of the loaves of bread.  Cut bread top and inside pieces into approx. 1" cubes.  Cut the other loaf of the bread into same size cubes.  ( I use 1/2 to 3/4 of the 2nd loaf depending on the size of the French bread... Put hollowed out loaf on a cookie sheet.  ( I line mine with foil - this way you can serve it on the cookie sheet and it is easy to clean-up).

Mix mayo, cheese, sour cream, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder all together and pour into hollowed out bread.

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.  Take the cubed pieces and surround the bread loaf after the loaf has baked for 20 minutes.
Cook for the remaining 20 minutes.
