I have a confession to make.
I have asthma.
I've had it since I was in middle school and it's not going anywhere.
Every single day before I run or work out, I take my inhalers.
Do they help? Yes definitely.
Do they cut out the asthma completely when working out? Nope.
So why am I confessing this?
Because I want you to know that working out and running isn't that easy for me.
Like you I dread my runs.
I hate thinking about 1/2 way through my run I'm gonna start feeling like I'm drowning & have to stop for a sec to catch my breath.
I hate knowing that if it weren't for my damn asthma, I might be able to train for a 1/2 marathon like The Hubs did.
I hate thinking that God forbid I get on the treadmill at the gym and bust out with an asthma attack infront of tons of strangers.
What keeps me going?
Knowing that I'm helping myself loose weight, become healthy, and feel better overall inside and out.
Thinking that in high school I was a gymnast and had asthma and was fine, so a little run/weights isn't going to kill me. (Hopefully! Just kidding it won't!)
I might not be at my goal weight, I might not be at my goal running level/distance, but little by little, day by day, I'm getting there.
So can you...
