Love Beyond Words

December 14, 2016

I wanted to take a minute out of my day and remind myself to stop and breathe.
Cherish the holidays with my family,
spend as much time as possible with my daughter,
and enjoy my life just a little more.

Bella turns 10 next month,
and it feels like time with her is dwindling.
Pretty soon she's not going to want to sit in my arms and cuddle,
tell me all the funny things that happened at school,
climb into our bed when she's had a nightmare,
or beg me not to leave when we take her somewhere.

Before we know it she will be sharing secrets with her friends,
instead of her parents,
she will want to go on dates with boys,
instead of Mommy & Me day,
and I will watch her grow into a beautiful, amazing woman
before my eyes.

So until that time, I will cherish the moments we spend together,
going to movies,
checking out Christmas lights,
laughing at the funny things that happened at school today,
and I will know that no matter how many pictures I take,
how many blogs I post about her,
how many times I hug her and tell her I love her,
it won't be enough.
For she will one day be a little too far out of my reach.

Weekend Posting

December 13, 2016

This past weekend seemed to fly by, except for Sunday.
Saturday we took Bella to Fiesta Texas
to Holiday in the Park.
2 words: Cold & Rainy.
It sucked.
I'm not sure if you can tell by the pictures,
but it was so cold we all froze!
We only lasted 3 hours before giving in and heading home.
We did get on all the open rides,
and luckily no lines
(Hmmm wonder why?!)

Man Bella & I can rock some beanies!
(I wear them CONSTANTLY in the Winter!)

Saturday night we went to a friend's 40th birthday party!
Parker and his wife Tasha threw him an awesome birthday
at a bar in the Domain.
It was a blast!
Loved seeing people we haven't seen in years!
Such a fun time!
Little did we know all 3 of us would pay for Six Flags on Sunday!
We all were sick and feeling terrible all day.
Luckily we got our fun in the day before,
because none of us got off the couch Sunday!

Here's to a new week
filled with Christmas wrapping,
Weddings,
and spending time with the 2 people I love the most!

All the Feels

December 8, 2016

Last night we headed to Cedar Park to enjoy the Christmas lights.
It was so much fun and seeing Bella's eyes light up was magical!
I found these 2 streets that has the entire court light their houses up.
This was my favorite picture of the night.
Bella's just in awe of the lights.

Eric & Bella in front of one of our favorite houses,
they even had lights going along with the music...
Amazing!

Momma & her Bella Belle enjoying the lights!

This was in the middle of the street,
the lights go to the rooftop of every house on the block!
I LOVED this idea!!

Eric & I under the mistletoe!
Bella took this while laughing at her crazy parents!

Looking at Christmas lights has always been
something our family does,
and I wouldn't change it for the world!

Holiday Craze

December 7, 2016

I know I know there's still a few weeks left until Christmas,
but seriously the days/weeks are flying by,
so before we know it,
it'll be sneaking up on us!

Thank goodness I'm pretty much done shopping,
wrapping, decorating, etc.
But I feel like we all need to take a breath
and enjoy the actual holiday.

Spend time with my hubby and daughter,
go look at Christmas lights,
go to Holiday in the Park,
just enjoy the holidays before they're gone.
Bella will be 10 next month,
and I feel like the magic of Christmas
won't be as magic soon...

She loves Slippy her Elf on the Shelf,
and will sit under the tree staring at the gifts
for quite a while her eyes lit up
and her smile huge as can be.

So for the next few weeks
we will be family time,
enjoying the meaning of Christmas,
and loving the time spent with my family.

Happy Holidays.

Mid-Way Remodel

December 6, 2016

This past weekend we tore up the entire kitchen
to get ready for the new flooring.
Dust has been flying everywhere
ever since, but I'm so excited for what's
going to come end of the year.

Here's what our kitchen looks like as of now.
We did get a new stove (yay!)
but for the next 2 weeks or so,
we're wearing slippers everywhere downstairs.
The dogs are just loving it...
Towels are down for them to sleep and get comfy.
I'll be updating the remodel as we go along.
Stay tuned!

Birthmas

December 5, 2016

This weekend was my sister and brother in law's annual birthday parties,
now called the Birthmas party,
and it was awesome!
We all had an amazing time and thanks to ATG Photography
it was all captured on camera!
These are some of my favorite girls!
Always a great time with them!
Me & my sista in law celebrating her birthday in style!
(Ugly sweater style that is!)
Typical Eric & I pose!
We have the most fun together like always!
Love me some Tin!
She is such a sweet amazing person!
Love her!
Such a fun party!
Happy birthmas to all the birthday peoples
we celebrated Saturday!!

Tis the Season

November 30, 2016

With all the shopping almost done,
the tree getting put up this week,
and lights out front,
it's definitely that time of the year!

I even went all out this year and bought us all matching PJ's!

Do I usually make us match?!
Hell no,
Am I nuts this year?
Ummm yes!

But it was super cute & I couldn't resist!

Know what else is this time of the year?
Remodeling our house!
(Told ya I'm crazy!)

We're remodeling the entire downstairs including
the floors, kitchen, and half bath.
For some reason we always decide to do this
around the holidays.
Don't ask me why, there is not answer.
Let's just put it this way,
the pic above is the BEFORE of our kitchen!
Good Lord it needs help!
I will definitely post the after pictures once we are actually done!

Until then, enjoy your week!
This weekend's forecast is 90% chance of rain
and a HIGH of 49!
Brrrrrrr!!

Oh What a Weekend

November 28, 2016

I'm hoping everyone enjoyed their long weekend.
I don't go shopping in stores on Thanksgiving or Black Friday,
but I sure did shop online!

We actually had 2 Thanksgivings this year,
the first on Thanksgiving in my hometown with my family.
We got there the day before so Bella & Papa could get the turkey ready.
It's a Puerto Rican tradition in our house to put spices inside the turkey
and then let it sit overnight in the fridge before cooking.
Bella did really good learning from her Papa!

Thanksgiving Day was great!
Amazing food and family galore.
Friday we headed back home, but not until the guys
put the Christmas lights out on Papa's House.
It was a family affair and a fun time
with lots of laughing!

Saturday evening we had our second Thanksgiving
with Eric's family.
We had delicious food,
played games,
and caught up with everyone.

The rest of the weekend was spent remodeling our downstairs.
(A huge post will done on the remodel
once everything is done and pretty again!)

Until then it's lots of blood, sweat, & tears
trying to get everything done!
Wish Us Luck!

Thankful

November 23, 2016

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving,
I realize just how thankful I am.
Thankful for my family,
my friends,
a roof over my head,
food in my stomach,
a healthy daughter,
this blog,
trust me I could go on forever.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
And remember that this holiday is for everyone,
and how people are having to work tomorrow
instead of spending the day with loved ones.

That the holidays isn't meant to fight.
Put aside the politics, disagreements,
and just celebrate the season.

So from my family to yours...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Obsessed

November 21, 2016

{via}

When this was my old blog I would regularly post new products and things
I was absolutely obsessed with.
Makeup, clothes, shoes, movies, TV shows, etc.
I have a problem with falling in love with way too many products!
So I have to keep the tradition going!

Here's just a few of my newest obsessions:

This is my absolute favorite sports bra!
I ended up buying 4 of them on vacation I loved them so much!
They are perfect for runners and really hold your babies in place!
Plus super cute and so comfy!
They only cost $20 too!
(And note: I just checked their website and all sports bras are 50% off
right now, which makes this bra $10!!)

I got this also on vacation at Sephora and fell in love!
I've heard such great things about this foundation and
all of them are true!
Super easy to blend, lasts all day, and makes my skin look amazing!
I don't see myself changing foundations any time soon.

I never understood why so many people would pay $35 for tweezers,
until I gave in and bought them.
They really are the best at getting those small hairs
and are extremely sharp.
(I almost cut my eyebrow the first time!)

So far this is my updated obsessions.
I'm sure with the holidays coming it will change,
although I plan on using all of the above
often and don't plan on giving them up.

What are you obsessed with?

Wait, When Did This Happen?

November 18, 2016

Seriously, did Thanksgiving sneak up on anyone else?!
Eric & I thought we had a couple of weeks left until it came around,
but nope it's NEXT WEEK!!

I feel overwhelmed not because I have to cook or have people over,
but because that means Christmas is right around the corner!
When did the holidays officially hit us?

Posts will still happen until next Wednesday,
but we are heading out of town for the holiday after that.

So as I rush around looking for gifts and getting the tree lit,
I wish everyone a joyous holiday season!

Vegas Time

November 17, 2016

Wow what a vacation!

We flew into Las Vegas last Saturday and had an easy going day.
The race was Sunday, so we took it easy until then.

Sunday afternoon we got to see Snopp Dogg concert before they ran.
It was awesome and Kelli, Kellie, & Eric
all did an amazing run on their half/full marathons!

The rest of the vacation was shopping, eating, & partying!
And man was it fun!!

The 6 of us made it downtown Monday night
and it was insanely fun!
Live bands, slots, adult milkshakes, it was a crazy night!

Vegas is always such a great time, but man am I glad to be home!
This was the last picture I took as we were leaving Nevada.
The mountains are amazing there.

Something about coming home that makes everything better to me.
Seeing my daughter again,
Sleeping in my own bed,
Seeing my puppies,
Just the smell and feel of being in the place I belong.

It was a great vacation to say the least,
and one I will definitely never forget!

This weekend

November 10, 2016

This weekend,
Eric, me, and 4 of our close friends are heading to
LAS VEGAS!!

Hello party time!
Well after Sunday it'll be party time.
3 of the 6 of us are running in a half or full marathon
on the Vegas strip Sunday evening.

 So needless to say,
I will be MIA on my blog this week.
I promise to come back with pictures
& stories (the ones I can tell you!)
the end of next week.

Until then have an amazing weekend
& a wonderful week ahead!
