We lost a legend today, but his music will live on.
RIP Prince, you will be missed by all.

My Newest Obsession

April 14, 2016

It's no secret I love watching a good show, and recently I found one!

It's only on Hulu, but it is awesome!
Eric & I love history & I have been obsessed with JFK since I was a kid.
This just makes that obsession worse!
It's great writing & directing and we are addicted!

A little bit of the premise without giving anything away:

About 11.22.63
Imagine having the power to change history. Would you journey down the “rabbit hole”? This eight–part event series follows Jake Epping (James Franco), an ordinary high school teacher, who is presented with the unthinkable mission of traveling back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Jake is willing to live in the past in order to solve perhaps the greatest mystery of the 20th century — who killed JFK, and could it have been stopped? As Jake tries to rewrite history, he discovers that the past does not want to be changed and will do anything to stop him.

If you don't have Hulu, get it!
If you do, watch this show!
You won't be disappointed!

April 12, 2016

I literally blog about this every year and every year it still is the best time for the best cause.

It's a pub crawl where all the proceeds go to cancer research in your area.
It's an amazingly fun time & we haven't missed a year since it started in Austin!
(Literally! This will be our 9th year to crawl!)

Teams of 10-12 people go to 5 bars downtown (walking of course!), where they drink 4 pitchers of beer per bar. (If my good ole' math is correct, that's 20 pitchers per team!)
My group always has the most fun and can't wait for the next one.

If you want to learn more about it or see if there is a crawl in your town, please click on the link above and enjoy!

Here's to another amazing crawl!!
(By the way, Austin's crawl is June 25th but registration is open)

Weekend Wrap Up

April 11, 2016

This weekend was a pretty nice, low key weekend for us.
Saturday morning, Eric & I worked out together. He's teaching me to use more weights instead of running all the time, and to say I'm sore today is an understatement!
But it'll be worth it in a few months on the beach!

After our workout, we went home and got ready to run some errands. We went shopping, had lunch at Salata, and watched some of the Masters at home.

Saturday night we met up with friends and went to Lucy's Fried Chicken on Lake Travis. Even though the service and drinks were absolutely terrible, the food was pretty good.
And honestly you go for the view...

It was a perfect evening on the lake.
We ended the night taking the girls to Amy's Ice Cream.
It was Heaven!

Sunday we got up and went to the Austin Auto Show.
We've never been before and are looking for a new SUV to get, so we thought why not?!
We had a great time looking at all different types of cars and trucks.
Bella even got to meet Iron Man!
It was pretty cool, although he seemed shorter in person...

I did fall in love with a few vehicles there...

We were all in love with the Toyota Sequoia, just not in love with the price!
It's a huge and amazing and I loved it!

Weekend Wrap Up - Graduation Style

April 4, 2016

This weekend was a little hectic, but overall such a great weekend!
Bella graduated to green belt in her martial arts.
Next belt will be brown which is a high belt & she is beyond excited for it!

Look at this girl kick!
I know I am a little biased, but to me, she is amazing!

Getting her green belt from Master Crow.
Saturday was his last day (he's opening his own martial arts gym in South Austin)
and Bella was so glad he was able to belt her.

We will really miss Master Crow, but we know he will do great opening his own gym!

After graduation there was a going away party for Master Crow, with tons of food & goodies!

We always take a family picture after each graduation she has.
We are so beyond proud of her & all her hard work!

Happy Monday!
