Tis the Season

November 30, 2016

With all the shopping almost done,
the tree getting put up this week,
and lights out front,
it's definitely that time of the year!

I even went all out this year and bought us all matching PJ's!

Do I usually make us match?!
Hell no,
Am I nuts this year?
Ummm yes!

But it was super cute & I couldn't resist!

Know what else is this time of the year?
Remodeling our house!
(Told ya I'm crazy!)

We're remodeling the entire downstairs including
the floors, kitchen, and half bath.
For some reason we always decide to do this
around the holidays.
Don't ask me why, there is not answer.
Let's just put it this way,
the pic above is the BEFORE of our kitchen!
Good Lord it needs help!
I will definitely post the after pictures once we are actually done!

Until then, enjoy your week!
This weekend's forecast is 90% chance of rain
and a HIGH of 49!

Oh What a Weekend

November 28, 2016

I'm hoping everyone enjoyed their long weekend.
I don't go shopping in stores on Thanksgiving or Black Friday,
but I sure did shop online!

We actually had 2 Thanksgivings this year,
the first on Thanksgiving in my hometown with my family.
We got there the day before so Bella & Papa could get the turkey ready.
It's a Puerto Rican tradition in our house to put spices inside the turkey
and then let it sit overnight in the fridge before cooking.
Bella did really good learning from her Papa!

Thanksgiving Day was great!
Amazing food and family galore.
Friday we headed back home, but not until the guys
put the Christmas lights out on Papa's House.
It was a family affair and a fun time
with lots of laughing!

Saturday evening we had our second Thanksgiving
with Eric's family.
We had delicious food,
played games,
and caught up with everyone.

The rest of the weekend was spent remodeling our downstairs.
(A huge post will done on the remodel
once everything is done and pretty again!)

Until then it's lots of blood, sweat, & tears
trying to get everything done!
Wish Us Luck!

November 23, 2016

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving,
I realize just how thankful I am.
Thankful for my family,
my friends,
a roof over my head,
food in my stomach,
a healthy daughter,
this blog,
trust me I could go on forever.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
And remember that this holiday is for everyone,
and how people are having to work tomorrow
instead of spending the day with loved ones.

That the holidays isn't meant to fight.
Put aside the politics, disagreements,
and just celebrate the season.

So from my family to yours...

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 21, 2016

When this was my old blog I would regularly post new products and things
I was absolutely obsessed with.
Makeup, clothes, shoes, movies, TV shows, etc.
I have a problem with falling in love with way too many products!
So I have to keep the tradition going!

Here's just a few of my newest obsessions:

This is my absolute favorite sports bra!
I ended up buying 4 of them on vacation I loved them so much!
They are perfect for runners and really hold your babies in place!
Plus super cute and so comfy!
They only cost $20 too!
(And note: I just checked their website and all sports bras are 50% off
right now, which makes this bra $10!!)

I got this also on vacation at Sephora and fell in love!
I've heard such great things about this foundation and
all of them are true!
Super easy to blend, lasts all day, and makes my skin look amazing!
I don't see myself changing foundations any time soon.

I never understood why so many people would pay $35 for tweezers,
until I gave in and bought them.
They really are the best at getting those small hairs
and are extremely sharp.
(I almost cut my eyebrow the first time!)

So far this is my updated obsessions.
I'm sure with the holidays coming it will change,
although I plan on using all of the above
often and don't plan on giving them up.

What are you obsessed with?

Wait, When Did This Happen?

November 18, 2016

Seriously, did Thanksgiving sneak up on anyone else?!
Eric & I thought we had a couple of weeks left until it came around,
but nope it's NEXT WEEK!!

I feel overwhelmed not because I have to cook or have people over,
but because that means Christmas is right around the corner!
When did the holidays officially hit us?

Posts will still happen until next Wednesday,
but we are heading out of town for the holiday after that.

So as I rush around looking for gifts and getting the tree lit,
I wish everyone a joyous holiday season!

Vegas Time

November 17, 2016

Wow what a vacation!

We flew into Las Vegas last Saturday and had an easy going day.
The race was Sunday, so we took it easy until then.

Sunday afternoon we got to see Snopp Dogg concert before they ran.
It was awesome and Kelli, Kellie, & Eric
all did an amazing run on their half/full marathons!

The rest of the vacation was shopping, eating, & partying!
And man was it fun!!

The 6 of us made it downtown Monday night
and it was insanely fun!
Live bands, slots, adult milkshakes, it was a crazy night!

Vegas is always such a great time, but man am I glad to be home!
This was the last picture I took as we were leaving Nevada.
The mountains are amazing there.

Something about coming home that makes everything better to me.
Seeing my daughter again,
Sleeping in my own bed,
Seeing my puppies,
Just the smell and feel of being in the place I belong.

It was a great vacation to say the least,
and one I will definitely never forget!

This weekend

November 10, 2016

This weekend,
Eric, me, and 4 of our close friends are heading to

Hello party time!
Well after Sunday it'll be party time.
3 of the 6 of us are running in a half or full marathon
on the Vegas strip Sunday evening.

 So needless to say,
I will be MIA on my blog this week.
I promise to come back with pictures
& stories (the ones I can tell you!)
the end of next week.

Until then have an amazing weekend
& a wonderful week ahead!

Packing for Vegas

November 8, 2016

Eric & I usually go to Vegas once a year with friends.
It's his favorite place to travel, so we make sure and go yearly.
I am by no means the best person to give Vegas advice,
but I can hopefully help you to save money!

1) Coconut Water - This sounds funny, and it doesn't taste the best, but the mornings after in Vegas are usually hangovers, so make sure and bring coconut water to hydrate before you start drinking again!

2) Aspirin/Tylenol - See #1.

3) Jacket - If it's spring or fall, bring a light jacket. Winter, heavy coat. I'm from Austin, so anything under 40 degrees is freezing to me, and those Vegas nights in the middle of the desert get downright chilly!

4) Good Pair of Shoes - You walk every where in Las Vegas. We rarely take cabs unless it's to downtown or the airport. Everywhere on the strip we walk. Last year we walked over 14 miles in one day. Bring good shoes. You will need them!

5) Money - I feel like this one is an obvious one, but seriously, whether you gamble, shop, watch shows, or love to eat, you will need lots of money to cover everything!

No matter what, have fun and enjoy yourself in Vegas.
There's no where else like it!

November 7, 2016

To update on my blogs last week:

We had our girl's night in Friday night and it was a blast!
These girls are amazing & we always have the best time together!

Also about the booties I blogged about last week.
I ended up getting these...

Yeah so I tried multiple booties on and they are not made for short girls!
They made my legs even shorter, so I got these cute pair of boots!
Can't wait to wear them in Vegas!

On a whole other note,
I am not very political person in any sense,
but I hope everyone gets out there tomorrow to vote!

I actually voted on the first day of early voting,
but if you haven't I beg you to vote.

Now I will go finish my laundry and start packing!
I am way too excited to get out of town soon!

Girls Night IN!

November 4, 2016

Tonight me and some of my closest girlfriends are having a girl's night in.
We have decided to have a monthly night in at each other's houses
where we bring our favorite bottle of wine & an appetizer.

I know us Moms out there don't always have time to go to a bar or restaurant,
so having them over is perfect & so much fun.

In other news, it's finally November!

Don't get me wrong, October flew by,
but it was also in the low 90's all month,
and I for one am ready for some cooler temps!

I love the Fall,
it's all perfection to me.

It also means getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I am that mom who starts buying gifts in August for Christmas.
Bella is almost done, and getting family done soon too.

So bring on the holidays, the cooler temps, and the sweetest friends a girl could ask for!

Happy Friday!

Looking For...

November 3, 2016

A good wedge bootie!
We leave soon for Las Vegas (Party!!)
and I need a great pair of black wedge booties!

I'm going tomorrow to try and find some, here's my favorites so far.

Image result for cl vente bootie
Super cute but a few downfalls.
The tassles might end up bugging me all night,
plus I'm not 100% sure of the suede.

These might be the winner!
They are so adorable, and if they're even somewhat comfy,
I'm in!

Jessica Simpson Reaca Wedge Booties
These are absolutely adorable also!!
It might be tough to decide!

Here's to finding a great pair of boots that will last and look cute in Vegas!

Looks Like Halloween... Feels Like May

November 1, 2016

So yesterday was Halloween and although the calendar says it's November 1st.
The weather says different.
I know it's Texas and all, but 90 degrees in the Fall just doesn't work for me.

Bella went as Rey from Star Wars & dangit if she wasn't the cutest!

I did her hair just like Rey's and it came out perfect... well almost!
We had a great time with friends and meeting new people,
only downfall was this morning trying to wake Ms. Rey up for school!

I have started making large meals a few nights a week and if they come out well,
I'll post the recipe on the blog!

Here's a few of my favorites:
