As most women know, the Oscars (especially the red carpet) is like our Super Bowl.
I love watching hours of E! before hand to see all the great (and sometimes terrible) fashion choices from the stars.
I have 3 favorites & 3 hate it's this year...
And all the pictures are from E! Online!
Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa.
She was my winner of the night!
She looks absolutely STUNNING pregnant!
Normal women don't look this good 1/2 way through their pregnancy,
but she sure made pregnancy look amazing last night!
Margot Robbie in Tom Ford
She looked like the freakin statue!
Everything about her look was perfect.
The tousled hair, the makeup, it all worked well together.
She looks amazing!
Naomi Watts in Armani Prive
She looks like a mermaid in this dress & I love it!
I like the hair down thing most of the women were doing last night too.
People look at her necklace! It's just insane!
And for my 3 "What The Hell Were They Thinking?!" worst dressed list:
Sandy Powell in I have no idea!
I saw a few women wearing pants suits that pulled it off perfectly
(Lady Gaga I'm looking at you!)
But this just was a mess.
From the terrible choker to the whole design..
just didn't do it for me.
Heidi Klum in Versace
Heidi Klum loves to gamble with fashion.
And usually it's amazing, but not tonight.
The flowers... the flowers!!
It reminds me of the bridesmaids dress a good friend made you wear,
then you burned it afterwards!
This is hideous!
(Still love you Heidi!)
Rooney Mara in Givenchy
This one is the best of the worst.
It's not horrible, in fact the lace is downright pretty,
what gets me is how washed out she looks in it.
If J-Lo had worn it, it would have been stunning against her skin tone,
but against Rooney Mara's it just blends all together.
Plus her hair looks like she forgot to get someone to do it and
tied it up in a tight bun last minute...
Not my favorite look by far.
What were your favorite and hate it's from the Oscars last night?!

Whew what a weekend!!
It was one of the best weekends we've had in a long time!
First off, I'd like to thank Papa, Carol, & Skyler for coming to visit and celebrate Bella's birthday!
They came into town Friday afternoon, and we all went to Olive Garden for dinner.
It was an early night so we could rest up for the big shindig!
Saturday morning I woke up early to go for a run before the sun came up.
Once I got home, showered, & had breakfast,
the 3 of us ran errands to get cake & balloons.
Blah blah blah... let's get to the party!!
The whole theme was Texas Rangers, and our party host was amazing!
She drew this after seeing our decorations.
Bella LOVED it!
Grandma & Grandpa came to help celebrate!
Bella's cake... she chose everything on it!
(Hence the 9th inning & baseball score!)
It was a great party and Bella had a blast!
Once we got home, we let her open her gifts.
She loved everything she got!
Thank you to everyone who made it out!
Saturday night we went to Texas Roadhouse with my family
& had a great time laughing and catching up with them.
They don't make it into town often, so when they do, it's a great time!
Sunday we ran errands and took Bella all over the place letting her spend her gift cards/money she got for her birthday. And trust me, she now has a new wardrobe due to it!
Now Eric & I are watching the Oscars and relaxing FINALLY!
Happy Sunday & hope everyone's week is perfect!

Whew what a weekend we had!
Mostly low key, but lots and lot of family fun, which seems to be happening more often...
to the dismay of my daughter of course!
Friday night Bella had a kid's night out at her martial arts school, so Eric and I met up with friends for a drink, then headed to see Deadpool.
Holy crap it was seriously one of the funniest movies I've seen in forever!
We laughed out loud numerous times throughout the movie.
Saturday I woke up early and went for a run while the sun was coming up.
Still my ultimate favorite me time is weekend mornings running & watching the sunrise.
After getting done & ready, Bella and I had a girl's day!
Eric went to play golf with friends, so we went and ordered her birthday cake,
bought goodie bags, and did a little bit of shopping along the way.
She finished off by going to Urban Air to do a little jumping!
We even managed to get one of her good friends to come to dinner with our family
and have a sleepover. She was insanely excited & I was exhausted!
Sunday we booked our Gulf Shores, Alabama vacation!
Holy crap how gorgeous!
Only downside is I wish we were there now!
We also worked on Bella's science project.
Yep we finally got the "making a volcano erupt" science kit!
We were laughing like crazy and how much it "blew up"!
We finished the night by watching Bella stuff as many balloons into her (she stole her Daddy's) pj's
and dance around the living room!
And yes, I of course took pictures!
I told her I'll save this one for her 1st boyfriend!
I love being a mom!

How true those words are!
If y'all know me by now, you know my love for running.
I've been running for the last 2 years and don't plan on stopping.
But here's the thing.
It tears up your feet, legs... body.
Yes I lost a crap ton of weight running,
but I also gained shin splints, a bum knee, horrible ankles,
not to mention how many muscles I've pulled along the way.
I keep running because I'm addicted to it.
Even after a short run you just automatically FEEL BETTER.
You're exhausted, yes, but also proud that you go out there.
I wish I was able to run in the mornings,
but with my work schedule that's out of the question.
So I run in the heat & the sun beating down.
I carry a big bottle of water during it,
and finished the whole bottle before I finish my run.
But I refuse to quit running.
I refuse to give up on something I love.
So I'll keep being insane and running,
because that's what I love to do.

Usually on Monday mornings I post our weekend wrap up.
This is not that.
This is a post on how proud I am of my husband.
Yes I don't do these posts often & no it's not because of Valentine's Day.
This is because for the 2nd time in his life,
Eric finished a half marathon!
And in an amazing time I might add!
He did the Austin 1/2 marathon yesterday morning and killed it!
Bella and I went out to cheer him on (and after getting a little lost!)
We were able to see him pass the 12 mile marker.
We had a sign made for him...
So he was able to spot us right away!
After he crossed we met him at the finish line to celebrate his accomplishment.
Eric, we are both so immensely proud of you
& can't wait to cheer you on again in Vegas!
We love you and hope you're having a great day off recouping!

I'll be honest, we didn't do a ton of stuff this weekend.
And it was awesome!
Saturday we took Bella to the fan appreciation for UT Baseball team.
She got the whole team to sign a poster for her including the coach Augie.
It was freezing that morning, and those guys were such champs signing for her.
It was also Coach's birthday!
After they signed, they let families on the field to throw to each other.
We had the best time!
She just loves baseball!
Afterwards, we took Grandpa out for lunch at Cedar Door,
then went to our church chili cookoff.
We finished the night with friends playing cards.
Sunday was super low key.
Spent the entire day home relaxing and resting.
We literally didn't even go out for the Super Bowl!
It was fabulous!

I'm lucky in the fact that I don't have horrible acne.
I never had it when I was a teenager except for once in a while.
Here's the thing... when I do get a breakout, it's not pretty!
And it seems to last forever, until I found these
These babies are amazing!
Wash your face, put one on and go to bed.
You wake up the next morning & your acne has gone way down!
It's not completely gone, but definitely 10x better!
It usually takes me 3 nights of using them for it to be gone.
I would recommend these to anyone.
